How to set up instant Microsoft Teams notifications for negative emails in 1 minute

Do you regularly receive a ton of emails 📧 and want to be notified immediately over Teams when you receive an email with negative sentiment. 🙁
Learn in this blog how you can easily automate it in just 1 minute with AI Builder and Power Automate! 😀 No advanced technical knowledge required.



- Go to the Power Automate page. Click on the “Templates” tab located on the left-hand side of the page.

- In the search bar, type in “Notify me on Teams when I receive an email with negative sentiment”.

- The template should appear in the search results. Click on it to open the template.





- You will be redirected to the template’s details page.

- You will be prompted to sign in to each connector using your Microsoft account if you haven’t already done so.

- Click on the “Continue” button to proceed.





- You will be navigated to the flow designer page, and you will notice that the template uses AI Builder to analyze sentiment in Outlook emails.






- Ensure that all actions are authenticated and configured with the correct parameters.

- Click on the “Save” button to save your flow.

- Finally, initiate the flow by clicking on the "Run" button and test its functionality by sending a negative email to the designated email address.





- Upon receiving the email, you will receive a Teams notification with the following message.





That’s it! You have successfully set up the “Notify me on Teams when I receive an email with negative sentiment” template. Now, whenever you receive a negative email, you will receive a new message in Teams.
